How do I put pictures in my gallery

How do I put pictures in my gallery, I have the pictures developed, and I have them scanned on to my computer, how do I put them in the gallery, I went to the gallery, but I just filled out what my album's title was and the description, were do I put the pictures in at, yes, this is probably a dumb question. but thank you for any help

So..........You have a Gallery ,..... now you need to create and Album in this gallery.

Try and make sure you name the gallery in a unique way & then do the same with the albums.

Once you have created an album,you will see the 5 browse windows,these are for you to pick the files from your computer for uploading to the album.

Make sure your photos are no,larger than 50 KB or 600 x 450 px in size

hummm, I have tried this many times and have never gotten a PIC to upload correctly . . . . could this be because they are to large?

how do I 're-size' them so they are no,larger than 50 KB or 600 x 450 px?

I have quite a few that I may want to share.

You will need to use a program like Photoshop or others that are listed here.

An easy to use freeware program available on the net is IrfanView. I only use it to resize photo's easily and quickly although it has other features. IrfanView

I would think the program that allows you to view the photo on your computer, would have a re-sizing tool.

Try the help section of your program and type in
*re-sizing* photos

well, I downloaded the IrfanView and was able to "re-size" a PIC . . . went to my gallery, set up an album "3rd try" and up-loaded a PIC . . .

Where did it go? I can't see or find it . . . think I am giving up

Don't give up, there are thousands of users that have done it. There are currently 19905 photos in 4994 albums contained in 8988 galleries.

What size picture are you using?

Dennis, I e-mailed you a couple PICs that I did not re-size in the first e-mail and then sent a separrate e-mail with one that I had re-sized to 600x400. It was this 600x400 PIC that I last tried to upload.

Well, I did them for you.

1) They were all in one folder plus it was a zip file.

They should be in Jpg or jpeg form

First you have unzipped the zip files.... then re-size the photos to 600x450px.

You can't upload zip files to an album,only a web site.

They were also very large 1600 x 1200

They have been resized to 600x450

I hope this clears up something.
