Question autolite 2100 2-bbl carb

does anyone know of a good replacement for the stock autolite 2100 2bbl carb? i'm trying to keep it simple and stock. Or would anyone know where i could find a good diagram of the throttle linkage and choke. My recently purchased 67 f100 needs some attention in that area. It appears to be jury rigged.
Websites or pics would help. the chiltons manual is a bit vague.

if it's a 360 or 390 and you just want to replace the 2bbl and not go to a four barrel manifold and carb holley makes some 2 bbl carbs that would perform better and bolt on with a minimum of hassle.......

The throttle linkage is JUNK. I would not waste the time to replace what FORD put on there. Simply run a straight rod from the pedal to the carb. Simple and it works great.
(me like others just have used a coathanger or welding rod to make rod. Just bend a hook on the ends)

A holley will work much better, and for longer, than a replacement Autolite. It will run you $200 at most parts stores(or Summit racing). You can also use an adapter plate and install a 600 Holley 4bbl.

If you want to keep a 2bbl, you can get a Holley Model 2300. They have a 350 CFM and 500 CFM versions. I have the 500 with 50cc accl pump, and it is on the big side for my 302, so I think it would be about perfect for a 360-390. Good luck! and get rid of that old linkage.

Thanks for the replies..............I just want to get it runnable for now, and will eventually junk a lot of the stock stuff. After 30 something years, the metal is breaking down anyway.

If you need a picture of a stock carb to get the choke together, I just removed mine last weekend. I can take some pics and send you. It had manual choke cable too.
