Question XLT Grill in an FX4?

I really like the FX4 but don't like the grill. What about changing the grill to the XLT after purchase? Anyone priced that out? Anyone tried ordering an FX4 with the XLT grill?

Thanks

check Ebay. I saw a FX4 grill on there about a week ago, maybe there will be a XLT.

I am ordering a 04 fx4 Scab.
I would like to change the front plastic grill (body colored)
To a complete chrome lip and grille.
I can find the grill on ebay, but where do I find the lip that
surrounds?
Help??

I think it was a manufacturing mistake but I saw a lariat grill on an FX4 that was on the Gwinnett Place Ford lot in Duluth Ga. It looked real sharp to me and I believe I would prefer it.

Well, I found a site that has the whole shell and custom billet grille. Hopefully, I can order the Lariat front without any problems.

Many Thanks,

Migo

You can get an XLT ,FX4, or Lariat grille for about $175.00US. This includes the insert and surround. You can not order seperately.
I replaced my FX4 grille with an XLT. Just 10 bolts to remove and replace. Takes about 15 minutes.

I found a ford parts seller online via the forum.
This forum is great.

I was also thinking about swapping to the XLT grille or going with a Billet Grille. I have not seen any Billet grilles available yet. Has anyone seen them?

Try Carridge Works (www.carriageworksinc.com). I just ordered two of their billet grilles (main and bumper) for my 2004 Lariat from Stylin Concepts (www.stylinconcepts.com).

You have a nice looking truck. These will make it look even better. Go for it! FYI - They make a bolt over and a complete drop in. The bumper grille is bolt over. The main grill can be had either way. I ordered the 42102 and 42122. These are both polished aluminum.

The new grill completely makes the truck alot meaner.
I just cant wait to customize this rig to the way I want it.

Anyone have suggestions on the bed cover?
Should I go fiber, I am afraid for cloth as they can cut it open..
Ideas?

Upgrades:

1. New front and bumper grill
2. Gas billet cover
3. Nice bed cover with a slight wing
4. New rims. Maybe 22's but I live in NY and may need to
go with offroad tires and small rims for this ugly winter that we get. Undecided.
