What is the best amp

sony isnt horrible but they arent that great. the soundquality is not bad but they are not the best bang for the buck. they are probably at the most average. pick a pair of subs to run, the 2 10's, or 2 12's. dont run both sets. i would go for the 2 12's if i were you. but before you do anything, go to your locally owned audio store and check out the different products. sony is a universal provider for all electronics (phones, etc). there are plenty of dedicated brands like memphis, kicker, rockford fosgate that sell better products for around the same price.

oh, superman,
get an amp that will run in the top third of the RMS range of whatever sbs you use, so that you don't run the risk of under-powering your speakers.
RBrendel,
I've found a pair of sony XS - L101P5 subs for $70. with a frequency response rating of 18 - 2500 Hz, and a range of 80 - 300 watts RMS, they seem pretty nice. I'm not challenging you, I am just looking for a good range speaker, for not alot of deneiro.

CompVR 12's for 79 bucks a piece?!? ****, i was going to buy CVR 15's and they werent' near that cheap, i think the price has come down! I like Kicker alot, its a thought, i've been considering getting dual CVR 15's or a single Solo18x... CVR 15's sound like a better idea for me though, depending on the price.
btw... my friend has Sony Xplod 12's... they dont sound bad from inside the vehicle, but if you open the trunk, i know alotta farts that sound better than Sony Xplod does

YOu can get four Dayton Quattro 12's for 260 Or two MKII? The speakers themselves stomp a mudhole in the Sony's. Most of the mainstream names are crap these days. Be careful!! Think outside the box. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...D=117655&DID=7
Better subs, better prices. For a man on a budget. I believe i know where to get them even cheaper.
Running two different subs sizes could cuase serious cancelation issues if not tuned properly.
