I have a 99 ranger 3.0 auto with 51k. after I have driven 3 or 4 miles the overdrive off light comes on the dash, pushing the button does not change it. Trans. will slip and change gears.
Is that a bad speed sensor ? any help on this one. Thanks

 

First, welcome to FTE!!!!

Normally when the speed sensor goes bad, your speedometer
will stop working or become irratic. Best bet is to scan for codes.
