Little help plz
First of all, hello all, 1st post here.
Second- I got a story and a few questions.
The story- (short version) Started to build an 82 bronco. Decided to do a 460 swap. It came with a 302. Bought a 460 outta of a mid 70's Lincoln. Had it rebuilt, bored .030", forged pistons, eldebrock everything (just about), and a valve job on the heads. Ran into problems with the swap. Mostly due to trying to swap in the 460 to the manual tranny (T-18). Starter issues, flywheel issues, belhousing issues, etc. I sold the truck and am currently pondering ideas. So, basically I have a rebuilt 460 a T-18 and a rebuilt NP205 transfer case.
The question- What would be the best truck to look for to install my items into. I'm thinking about a 1988 F250. Will my motor be ideal for a truck like that if it already has a 460? Not real concerned about a manual tranny. I can live with an autotranny. Just looking for something that will be somewhat painless. Also, any sites or areas of interest I can check into to get specs and such would help.
Thx,
Rayfield
