95 f150 clutch

when i put truck into second gear clutch pedal goes to floor and have to lift pedal with foot to get into third. does not do this all the time, only once in awhile. not good with clutches, what is the problem? easy to fix? expensive to have someone else do? this is the only gear it does it in. no squeaking or other sounds can be heard.

The clutch pedal is independent of the gear that the transmission is in, so concentrate on the pedal & its linkage under the dash, and the master cylinder under the hood beside the brake booster.
