All right guys, I feel like a total idiot. I can't seem to figure out how to get the bulbs out of the housing to replace my left rear turn signal bulb.
I noticed that there's 3 positions that the bulb receptacle can rotate to. The middle one seems the loosest.
What I don't want to do is screw up a very expensive housing replacing a $1.82 bulb!
So,Profanity Removeddo I need to do?

Hi Mike and welcome to the forum
No need to feel like an idiot
Sometimes the sockets are pretty hard to turn and pull out but thats all you have to do. Rotate it counterclockwise as far as it will turn and then just pull the socket out.
Unless you use really big pliers or something I dont think you'll break it.

When I pull the taillight assy off the truck (stepside 97 F150), the doflippy that holds the light bulb is already as far ccwise as it'll go. When I say I can turn it, I'm turning it clockwise.
The plug for the wiring comes off easily. The rest, well...
I'll try pulling on it again tomorrow.
I can take it from the answers that I've gotten so far that there's no tabs to push underneath to get the bulb out, right? All I gotta do is pull? Straight out?
No, I don't have the manual. Haven't needed it so far... I'm thinking the auto parts store's going to get a visit tomorrow.
