1990 Bronco Steering Column

I am thinking about replacing my worn tilt column with a remanufactured non tilt column form columns galore. The tilt is broken and the column is loose. I have seen this problem on other Bronco's expecially 1990's. I am going with a non tilt because I think it may hold up better to off-road use better. Does anyone know of a better way to repair the column and beef it up at the same time?

Seems like the column is the weekest point in the truck.

Thanks, RLH

If the castings aren't broken, it's not very difficult to repair it, and I think you'd miss the tilt/cruise. I hated my non-tilt, and I spent a LOT of time looking for the tilt I have in it now. It'll also be cheaper to fix it than to replace it.

I don't want to give up the cruise so I will get the parts from broncograveyard and have a go at it myself.
