Oil Filter Adapter

Does anyone know if the 90 degree oil filter adapter from ford motorsports will fit a 300-6?? My engine knocks like the devil when starting (220K miles) and has for years until pressure builds up. Seems a different filter angle will eliminate an empty filter and give the engine a shot in the a.m. when starting. Also, do I have to jack up my engine to remove and clean the inside of the oil pan?? (91 F-150, 300, 4x2, 5-spd) Gonna try to make it last a few hundre thou more if I can. Thanks for all help!!!

As far as the oil pan goes, yes, you do have to jack it up. I know it has been done without jacking it up but IMO it would be more work.
