hi all:
well i just got me a *new* '96.

now between crawling around under the truck, the owners manual, and u guys , i hope to figure out what i have.

i'm trying to figure out if what i have is "normal" or perhaps a tow package or maybe a heavy duty with some after market stuff added.

it is a 150, 302, auto 4sp (tag on tranny sez aod/e) reg cab, 4wd. what has me confused is that it has a factory trans cooler, a factory rear anti-sway bar, 3" wide rear springs with 4 leaves, an aftermarket frame hitch certified for 10000 lbs. tires are 235r75 15inch.

any ideas on what type of package this might be?

 

sounds like a tow package. a lot of hitches are/were installed by the dealer. My '93 f250 came with rear anti sway bar without the tow package. I think tranny cooler would have also been on plow prep package.

i forgot to mention that it has a 3.55 rear
