As far as i know flowmaster does not make an entire stainless kit. They do make stainless mufflers however.

A flowmaster aluminized kit at summit costs about $325.
comes with muffler, pipes, hangers, stainless tips.

Probably little over 1 hrs work for a muffler shop.

A stainless cat back kit from borla cost about 600.
Hope that helps.

Well I know they make stainless steel chrome tips. I've heard that the aluminized will rust a lot faster. Thanks for your reply.

Yes they do make stainless tips.
Aluminized will rust faster but flowmaster will not rust through for a while. I heard on a post here that they had a flowmaster muffler for 10years before he replaced it.

A complete stainless system would be great but expensive.

How long do you plan on keeping your truck?
That would be the determining factor in my decision.

Hope that helps.

I just went with alumnized becasue it's gonna last fairly long, and when it does rust through it'll be time for a change anyways.

I had a aluminum flowmaster single in dual out with 4" chrome tips installed for $260(parts & labor). It was like $60 for the muffler, $40 for tips, and $60 for piping. Thne $100 for labor.

Yeah I guess should plan on spending anywhere between $250 and $300. I'm thinking this weekend I will go get it done.

How did you get such a sweet deal on the system? For parts that's only $160... when the advertised price is almost double that. I want that deal!!!!

Today was the day. I just had the flowmaster put on. It sounds like a beast!!! I paid $350 total for everything. I reccomend flowmaster to anybody who wants a great sounding muffler system.

I just got my single in-dual out flowmaster 40 series muffler put on with 3 and 1/2" chrome tips out the back for $250. It is very loud, and interior resonance is definitely there. I am very pleased and would recommend it to anyone thinking about it. And I bet it sounds just as good as anyone with true duals and will get better gas mileage. Yes, I said it. Any louder and I would expect tickets. Looks great too.
