Crane cam & valve train...

I got the part numbers fron the Crane website, and checked at Summit. Here's a breakdown of the (approximate) prices:

Item...................$$$

Cam.....................110
Lifters....................90
Springs..................80
Retainers...............50
Pushrods...............75
Roller Rockers.......325

total.....................$730 (approximate)
They didn't have the valve stem seals or locks.

Having read many prior posts about roller rockers & those being the big ticket item - I'm wondering if they'll work without pushrod guideplates. If I do need them, which ones and who has ones that will work on the 300?

Isky makes a good set of guide plates. I don't know the number, but they have the adjustable ones. Here's a page of there's. You should call them to find the best one for you.

Thanks TR - some very interesting reading in the tech section. That Ron Iskederian speaks my language. His "myth busters" might raise a few arguments - but he's very thorough and convincing.

I'll contact Isky and see what they recommend for my application, as I didn't see a cam for a 10.5 CR...
