54 years old and my first truck ever.

Just purchased a 2004 F150 supercab,Lariat. Boy, do I love it. When I decided I was going to buy a truck, I knew it was going to be a Ford. I didn't even look at any of the other makes. I knew Ford trucks were the best. And I'm glad I found this site cause it's going to help me "add to" my truck. Here is a link to a picture of the truck. You'll see black is my favorite color.

Thumbs up Welcome

Just wanted to say welcome and wow, you have got it all. Now all you need is a new Harley and the trio will be complete.

"150Eddie" Welcome to FTE, Congrat's on the "new" F150 & Happy Birthday! Great lookin' vehicles! I'd be proud of either one! I turned 57 a in Aug. and have driven trucks for years, but the '02 S'crew I have now is w/o a doubt the best truck I've had. Welcome, again, and have fun!

Eddie, nice truck. I'm 53 and just bought my first truck in September. 2004 F150 Lariat Supercrew. Well I had somewhat of a tease of a truck with the 2001 Explorer SportTrac. I really like the F150.
Aspen Green with Chrome bumpers (as yours). But I had the bottom panel painted Arizona Beige (not the fender flares) and then added the Arizona Beige stripes and the Lariat emblem from the earlier models. Tan interior. Also, added the ARE tonneau cover with spoiler (brake light in the spoiler), mud flaps and bug shield. Have on order (available by April) chrome door handle and mirror covers. Have fun!!!

150Eddie,

Congrates fellow 150er . Nice set of rides! What do you drive when it rains? Bought my first NEW truck at 52, had several used ones before. I really enjoy my reg cab F-150. Hope you will enjoy yours at least as much as my wife and I do ours.

Nice truck. And even though it's a Chevy that Vette is AWESOME

I just bought my first new F-150. I had an 89 F-150 for awhile. I went to the dealership the other day looking for a Yellow 2WD F-150. I walked out with a black FX4 hehe. The black and 4WD was just too irresistable! Here is mine...

I got my first real truck last October at 52. (I had a Ranger for a year, but toy trucks don't count.) 2004 F150 Lariat. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Sounds like us old farts are keeping the economy going.

I must have a case of arrested development. I did not get my first truck until my 68th birthday. 04 Screw Lariat, loaded. However, I must admit, being a car bug is a sure test of a good marriage. MY other vehicles are a 99 Jaguar xk8, with 8000 miles and a 2000 Lexus 470, with 35000 miles. I bought my Screw the last day of October 03 and I just turned 1100 miles on it. Needless to say my wife of 49 years says we don't need 3 vehicles. I say,weI have a 4 car garage and I have room for one more. I don't drive many miles, but when I do, they have a certain style to them.

Go for it Jim! I want all of my garages full, too. Although I don't have a garage right now, but I do have an acre to park on!!!
