How many miles should I expect to get out of a serpentine belt for my 1997 Explorer. Currently I have 93K on the original one. Any words of wisdom in replacing this belt if need be?

 

I changed mine at 75,000 the first time. Even though it was not totally worn, it was showing signs of wear. Ford normally recommends changing them every 60,000 miles.

They are not too much $$$, and very easy to replace. I would think about changing it. If for nothing than piece of mind...

 

That is what I am thinking too. I will get one on the way home and install that puppy over the weekend.
