Question Clutch Swap In a 93 F250 Questions?

My dads clutch is gone in his 93 F250. It is our work truck and has to be back on the road ASAP. I have done a clutch swap on a mustang, but I know this would be more challenging. Is the clutch mechanical or hydraulic? It is 4 wheel drive so how much harder would that be? How many of you have done this swap? Anyone have a website showing instructions/tips?

Thanks a lot

It will be hydraulic, and should be pretty much like the mustang. Maybe a little easier. Get a chilton, figure out what tranny you have (almost certainly a ZF-5 speed) and go like hell. Figure on about 10 hours if you have never done one before. Should be only 2-3 if you have someone help you that knows whats up. Cheers.

I have a 94 F250 4X4 and it has the 5 speed mentioned above.
I have the chiltons manual but it is clear as mud. I have done
clutch in jeep and old chevy luv but they were not hydralic.

Couple of questions.. Has anybody any tips on this .

What is the approx price to have it done..

compared to the price of parts.. any help will be great..

Truck has 186000 .. and this is the first big ugly problem.

thanks in advance
Terry
