Thumbs down Grrrrr

I just put 2 dents in my front bumper! I was in Houston turning around under the overpass, and I was behing this black Dodge. We got stopped by traffic so we waited (obviously). Then, the traffic totally clears, and he proceeds to pull out. I was right behind him and let the truck idle forward at about 5 MPH. I then looked just to make sure there were no more. When I did this he totally stopped for no reason. There was no traffic and no people walking or anything! HE JUST STOPPED! I "bumped" him and put 2 small dents in my bumper! My insurance will cover it, but that will most likely make it go up because I gotta pay for his also!

His stupid bumper cost $300! I'm fumed!

One stupider!

3 days ago I parked at the local gun range next to a 2 foot high curb. I pulled extra close to it because i didn't want the guy parked next to me to ding my door.

when i finished at the range I got back into my truck. because my truck sits so high I didn't even see the wall. So i proceeded to back out, looking behind me and cutting the wheel to the left.

Then I hear "CRUNCH CRUNCH". I stopped and screamed!!

Got out and saw that I completely devistated my front black plastic cowling under my bumper. I managed to bang it back into shape but it's all torn up, as well as paint being torn from my bumper.

Guess I'll be calling Stylin concepts for a new custom bumper cover.

Stupid me.

A similar incident occured involving me and my truck about a year ago. A girl stopped dead in the merge lane (never did know why). I ran into her rear bumper. It ruined my plastic valence (the piece under the bumper - $90 at Ford dealer and 30 mins to install in my driveway) That was the only damage to my truck. Her claim was $2700! I questioned it and got the insurance co. to provide claim info and photos. They weren't lying. Her little Toyota (or whatever it was) was bent from rear bumper to rear doors. Everything: bumper, trunk lid, quarter panels, etc.
My insurance took a beating! First claim EVER in 25 years, but they still stuck it to me.

Sorry to hear that Brian.

I am happy to hear that the plastic piece is only 93.00.

I'll be calling Ford today.

Thanks,

Tom
