Question Moonroof

I see there are people in this forum that have moonroofs. I am getting ready to purchase a new 2004 KingRanch and I am wondering if anyone has had any problems with the moonroof. Thanks Billy

None at all,

We have been getting some of our winter rains now and so far it is water tight.

No problems with mechanical operation either.

High speed, over 60mph, full open produces an obnoxious vibration with the flip up louvre. Haven't figured out a simple fix yet

Mine has no noise, quiet. Nice extra feature. Fun to drive around open.

Mine is very satisfactory! Even with both front windows down and the rear windows down about 1/3 to 1/2. Certainly would do it again.

I sought out a new truck with one, and I love it. If you open it and the power slide rear window you get a nice draft, ut not too much like with the windows down.

Mines great

the moonroof was the main requirement when i ordered my 2004 SD. The 4X4 and diesel were just added benefits. Especially nice when other SD owners ask if you had the roof put in aftermarket or from the factory.

Rear window slide. Is that sied to side or up and down? Add on or came with the truck?
Thanks!

No problem with the moonroof on either of mt 2 trucks. I thought my wife was crazy for originally ordering the truck with it, but afterwards I wouldn't have bought the second truck without it. We had the first one all winter, just kept the insulated sliding cover closed to save heat, now it's open all the time.

No leaks, no problems at all. We've had nonstop rain for the last 3-4 weeks- i figure that's test enough on the leak issue. I won't have another SD without the moonroof.
