70 slider window

I just bought one new $165...otc...I put it in... still have the plain window.
they did not have these windows then...all are after market.
On a 70 be sure to messure the hole.
some 70's have 67-69 back glass....(smaller hole)
however if you have the larger hole....all will fit up to 93 (same-hole 70-93)

NOW the rubber....you better save it!

The window got bigger in 73. As far as there being a change in the back window during the 67-72 body style it would be another of those things I didn't know before. They appear to be all the same, but knowing Ford there may be some small difference.

back glass

I found out the hard way....
I have good friends with a glass shop in Binghamton NY "The Glass Guys"...been in business over 25 years...

we took out the glass and ordered a slider-window from the yard
(everybody said you could replace thru 93)

The window came...alakazam...too big!

I bought a new tinted slider.

But .......I drove around with no glass for a few days.

cold lesson!

Maybe Ford used up some cabs(leftovers) in 70?

GLAD THEY DID...THE SMALL WINDOW IS BETTER!

PS .......I bought a slider for my rotweiler to poke his head thru!

Well, I might be missing something here. Maybe there is a small difference in the 71-72 glass, but is no way the same as 73 and newer. As far as fitting up to 93 I wouldn't know. I would almost bet that the 73-79 use a different glass than 80-- and newer, but I don't know that for sure. I think you got some mixed up information. And of course if they sent you a glass for a 93 it would be too big.
