F250 PS on 44's
I'm in the process of looking for a F250 to purchase in the hopefully near future, and stumbled across this truck. After a total of 20 inches of lift, and throwing some 44's underneath it, and has a HYPERTECH POWER PROGRAMMER which added over 100 horsepower, how's he still getting 14-16 mpg? Is that just due to the diesel engine? I had a 99 F150 w/ 5.4L on 35's and wasn't getting that good of mileage. Just curious.

Well, i certainly don't have 44's but heres my info. I have 38's with 3.73 gears and a diablo delta 54/72 hp flip switch. While in the 54hp setting i will always end up getting between 14.4-15.5mpg in the city, just everyday driving. While on the highway the numbers jump from the 16.5ish to 18. Depends on what the conditions are.
His numbers are possible, just depends what gears he is running, how heavy his foot is, and how much he "extends" the truth.

also interesting thing about that truck: i would e-mail him, and ask him a few technical questions, the one thing that really stood out to me was the body lift. On a powerstroke the intercooloer tubes would have to of been custom modified to work with the body lift... If he had 17" of custom suspension work.. why tgo to that trouble? I don't know i am always skeptical of the ebay trucks.. just my .02$
