56 f250 wheel bolt pattern

I am going to go pick up a 56 f250 with 8 lug rims on it, the guy said i need to bring 2 rims so it could roll. Are they the same pattern as 8 lug chevy wheels?

I believe it should be a 6.5x8 bolt pattern on the F250, not sure if its the same as a ch**Y pattern.

I just found out in my american racing application guide that it is the same as the 80 and up chevys, but the rims i have here are off a 71 and the guide doesn't list back that far. Does anyone know if chevy ever changed their bolt patterns?

ps. sorry i am useing the "C" word here.

The bolt patterns should be the same. I don't recall any changes in 8 lug GM patterns. I think you're OK w/ the '71 wheels.

I don't think they'll be as upset w/ the "C" word being used as they will be when they realize you're bolting "C" wheels on a Ford!!

I have tryed this once and it didn't work. I tryed to put chevy wheels on my 57 F250 8 lug but the problem was that the bolt padern is the same but the center is smaller on the chevy rim and will not fit over the dana 60 hub. But you can put a ford rim on a chevy. Not sure about the front. I could be wrong on this, this is what I have seen.

Hmm, I guess the 3/4 tons are like the 1 tons, then. I can't run GM wheels on the rear of my Dually for that same reason. But I can run them on the front.

i need to put them on the front so i should be ok i guess, if not i'll just use a cutting torch to make the hole bigger. The wheels are not even worth the air that is in them

Dodge uses the same pattern as Ford, and the hole in the middle of the rim is larger. Of course, if that means you have to buy a pair of rims, that's not much help.
