a/c compressor clutch
I've got a '85 , and the clutch is gone, has anyone ever repaced one or would it be cheaper and easier to replace the whole compressor. How would you go about replacing the clutch anyway?

It is much cheaper to just replace the clutch. I have not done one but I think they are pretty straighforward. As with any clutch, your clearances will be important.

Thanks for the info, I had decided to go with a junkyard special, but I was curious as to how hard it would be to pull the old clutch off and install a new one?

I know some people have posted here about replacing them. Depending on the compressor it could be quiet a chore. Look over the links below to get an idea of what you may have to do.
