1987 F150 6 300 CI, fuel pump & relay locations???????
Well, here goes... I have an F150 1987, 300 CI 6, fuel injected...
Today it just quit.. I don't here the high pressure fuel pump come on when I turn on the key, I check the Fuel Pump Disconnect Switch under the dash, don't see any fuzes that are blown..
Where the devil is the fuel pump that supplies the fuel rail? Also, in the forums, some one mentioned a fuel pump relay...
, where is that at? . Would appreciate any help I can get... we need this truck running on our ranch, we live 25+ miles from town, and use it to haul the hay for feeding our livestock.

Check the circuits first for pump operation...
Ground the DLC connector (This should be located on the drivers side under the hood)
The connector will be odd shaped (usually grey in color) with six connections... The connection you want is single connection on the short angled side (by looking at the connector it will have a short angled side and a longer angled side). Grounding the connector will run the fuel pumps if they are working....
If the pumps run when the connector is gounded then wiring to the EEC module or the EEC module is at fault....
If the pumps do not run when this is done....
Check the Fuel pump relay and fuse...I am not 100% sure however I believe these are under the hood, drivers side.
If these are OK...
Remove the connector on the fuel pump, (located on the frame rail, drivers side just under the drivers door) place a voltmeter between the connector terminals and ground the DLC test port again...If you have voltage (12VDC) then the pump is at fault.
The same procedure can be used for the in-tank pump(s) even if you can't get to the pump do the following:
Single Tank....
Find the Pink/Blk wire....Hot wire for internal tank
Black wire in the same harness is the ground...
Probe both of these and test again.... If voltage is present then the pump is probably at fault
For Dual tanks perform the same test using these wiring colors
Front Tank..........Red Wire
Rear Tank...........Brown/White
NOTE: The low pressure pump wiring may not have full voltage (12 + dc) some low pressure pumps have resistors lower the voltage... You may see 10-11 VDC at the in-tank pumps... This is normal
