factory amp?

There are wiring harnesses that will allow you to replace the amp without having to decode what the wires are. What they give you is line level in and outs so you can continue to use the factory wiring. A bypass harness is also available so you can use the RCA outs on an aftermarket head unit. If you are still using the stock JBL speakers... replace those before investing in new amp. The speakers that Ford uses are total garbage. Spend a little more on the speakers to get better sound instead of over powering the factory speakers. There are a lot of options that you can go with. I run 5 1/4 components up front and 5x7 3 ways in the rear. Hope that helps.

,Yea I had to learn the hard way with my 92 Explorer I ended up waisting over 300 dollars on installation and purchas eof a radio because no one knew I had a factory amp, like the other guy said it's extremely better to go to a wall mart and get a wiring harness for your year/make/model of your truck, it's better then pullin off your entire trunk space paneling off.
Good luck. cya
