Good buy?? (94 F-150)

Hey all,

I was wondering what most people's oponion was on buying a 1994 F-150 short box, regular cab, 5sp, straight 6. comes with liner as well. The guy has recipts for lots of recent brake work and generally shows that it has been taken care of. It has 121,000 miles (212,000km) and the body is in good condition, no rust and a few minor dings. I can get this truck for 3800us, (5000can)

is this a good deal?

Ive heard good things about the straight six, would it still have a lot of miles left under its belt in this case?

thanks for your time and input

I have a 1995 F150 4X4 inline6 5speed with 124K and my uncle has a 1991 ford F150 4X2 inline6 5speed with 123K and both
run great plus the inline6 is the best engine IMHO.

Probably a good deal if you can confirm the records the seller has and the truck checks out mechanical wise. If mechanics check out you should be good to go for a long time if you take care of it. First thing you might wanna do is change the clutch and replace the plastic plugs in the tranny, sometimes they leak fluid and shorted the life of the mazda tranny in it, get the injectors cleaned and change the o2 sensor and you should be fine maintenance wise. But what ever you do have it checked by a professional you trust. If everything checks out offer him 3000 U.S. and see what he does or at least 3500, never pay what someone asks unless it is the lowest price imaginable and this isn't, that way if something does come up unexpected when you fix it you won't feel so bad because more likely than not you still have less invested than the original price. Just a thought and good luck, later
