How much did you pay for your '04?

I found a dealer to give me the X-plan pricing. This was a tough task. The sticker price of my silver FX-4 SuperCab was $36,640, but with the X-plan and the dealer installed bedliner and remote start system, along with all the other things like tax and license, and a downpayment of $15,000 and mine went out the door for 19,850.

My selling dealer only discounted about 2 g's from sticker despite me paying the full amount in cash. They threw in the bedliner for free, but then I added another 3 g's in "stuff" immediately after (power tonneau, + other small accessories).
My whole interior is currently being upgraded to 2-tone charcoal leather, together with the headliner which is to be finished in dark charcoal suede.
I also plan to incorporate a supercharger and a navigation system within the next month or two.

When all you guys tell us what you paid, could you please avoid using the "out the door" figure? That really tells us nothing, for a number of reasons:
Sales Tax, use tax, title, registration, inspection, and documentation fees vary greatly from state to state. They have no bearing on how much the dealer sold the vehicle for. We're trying to find out what kind of a deal you got from the dealer, not how much cash you had to fork out of your wallet. It's really 2 different things.
If you took low financing instead of a rebate, then it looks like you paid more for your truck than the guy that took the rebate.
One guy just mentioned that he's having the dealer add 3 grand in accessories. That's a personal choice- it has nothing to do with what kind of deal you got.
I see 3 responses to this question, and I honestly have no idea what any of you actually paid for the truck itself. Forget taxes and fees, forget rebates, forget add-ons:
HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR THE #$%&*^?+#~ TRUCK!!!

I'm starting to feel really stupid after buying my truck last week. I live in a small town, but went to 2 different dealers and neither one was cutting any deals below sticker. They said they are selling the FX4's as fast as they get them in, so aren't dealing right now.
I'm not looking at the sticker right now, but I think it was $34,495 that I paid for a fairly loaded FX4. I hope a few others had to pay sticker also, so I don't feel too horrible.

When I went to buy mine, they only came down about $1K from MSRP. And that was on the low-end (STX) model. On the LTX and Lariats they said there is a bit more room to negotiate but "not much". I guess with these selling like hot cakes there's no need to wheel-n-deal. Now the 2003s that were still on the lot were going for a song.
The only thing that makes me feel better about spending top dollar for the truck is that I'll have it for 20 years or so.
You don't see many old Toyotas (or Datsuns) on the roads these days.

Several dealers in Dallas/Ft. Worth are advertising $5000 off MSRP on Screws, $4500 off Scabs and $3800 off reg. cabs.
That is what the paper says, I never actually went to a lot, and the story can always change.
I think that Ford is giving dealers a bonus for hitting a quota.
When I got my '01 Screw, the deal was that if certain dealers sold 100 trucks in 2 or 3 weeks, they got a $100,000 bonus. Some dealers were giving away the $1000, other kept it but spent a little more on advertising.

I bought a 04 Lariat SuperCab w/6.5 bed, and everything but the heated seats. Oh my gosh! What a great truck to drive. I am one happy guy.
The MSRP was $33,285 at my three local, LARGE dealers here in So Cal, with invoice at $29,264. The best I could do between the three was $500 over invoice, $29,764, and I negotiated the loan amount to 3.99 % for 60 months.
I am very pleased with my purchase.
