Dang WhiteNight you scared me with that $50 grand price, then I remembered something about an exchange rate.

$7,500 off...

There was an ad in the paper this weekend, $26,885 for a 2004 F150 4x4 Lariat Supercab, they had 4 at that price. Sticker price was $34,385. I thought what??? Thats nuts, the best I could do on that truck with my Ford X plan price was $30,500, thats a huge discount I thought. Well I'm thinking it was a scam or something, you would call and big surprise they would all be sold but no, they had three left and I raced over there and bought one on the spot. It doesn't have every option under the sun but its got leather, power drivers seat, all the normal Lariat options plus a 6 cd player and running boards.

Plus...

I squeezed both the $1,000 rebate and 2.9% at 72 months out of them instead of one or the other.

rckeith1?!!!

was that the NEW design? or the heritage edition? (I don't know much about which trims are offered in the heritage, so forgive my ignorance to its availability...) But that's pretty Daayyum good.

Heck man......I just noticed you're in the Northwest, would ya mind emailing me their info IMMEDIATELY so I can call them?! LOL
Would be interesting to find out the specs, and who knows, maybe I WON'T wait!

Yes its the all new 2004 Lariat not the heritage, incredible huh. It was Courtesy Ford in Portland/Gresham, OR. They advertised the standard $1000 cashback offered by Ford, plus a $6,500 Courtesy dealer discount. I took the 2.9% financing at 72 months instead of the $1,000 cash back...funny thing was later when we got down to haggling the final price they had to find me a $1,000 rebate to close the deal so I got both the low financing and the cash back in the end.

When I told them that was $3,500 less than the X plan price and asked them how they could sell it at a loss they explained that Ford had given them a bunch of $$$ for advertising incentives, they bought one ad with some of the money and used the rest to reduce the price of these four Lariats. They said what they hoped was that people would come in, compare this lower end Lariat to the $40k Lariat and buy the $40k model instead.

I on the other hand was a low to mid XLT customer, who jumped at the chance to get a Lariat for less than the XLT I was considering. Incredibly the ad ran in Saturdays paper and Sunday morning they had only sold 1 of the 4 Lariats.

I'm having a hard time comparing these apples to apples since I don't know what size beds everyone is getting; what size engine (for XLT buyers), and whether 4x2 or 4x4.

I just got my Az Beige F150, 4x4 Styleside XLT SuperCab, 145" wheelbase (6.5 foot bed), 5.4 litre, 3.73 limited slip, tow package, 17" chrome clad OWL w/AT tires, Elec shift on fly, Power rear windows, power rear slider, power drivers seat, deluxe mirror, Premium cloth captains chairs, Cass/CD Radio.

MSRP: $33320 // Invoice: $29077 // My price: $30139 (x-plan)
(A-plan would have been $28,837)

I added aftermarket Tonneau: $250 &
PolyChrome Nerf bars $410 (longer guarantee than what Ford gives)
$30,799

Plus $47 for tank of gas
Plus $795 Destination
(like everyone pays)
$31,641

Title Trans fee $8
Tax: $1854
$33,503

Less $410 returned on lease;
less $750 loyalty
less $500 spec program incentive/rebate
Out the door: $31,843 + $1200 for extended warranty

So - next question is: Who's buying what extended warranty plans? I took the "Premier" for Xplan pricing of $1200 to take my warranty to 75,000 miles.

This is my 3rd, F150; previously 2000 Chestnut with Az beige lower panel (my "Lariat Wannabe") and 2002 Silver. Both Supercab 5.4; 3.55 rear ends, tow package, 4x2 stylesides.

On the extended warranty was that Premium Care by Ford bumper to bumper covering 500+ components? $50 dedecutable etc.? I bought the 5 year/75,000 mile version, it cost me $985.

I heard there was some room to negociate on these warranties and wonder if I got the lowest price. When I bought my Explorer before this truck I got ripped on the extended warranty.

EW,

It was actually the Ford dealers idea, and like you said 750.00 is 750.00.
And by the way, ethics??? at a Dealership???? Not much of that when buying a car or truck.
