A-few-days-ago-I-posted-about-my-truck-not-shiftig-while-in-the-Drive-position.
-It-only-shifted-out-of-1st-if-we-moved-the-gear-selector-to-the-2nd-gear-positon.
-Otherwise-it-seems-fine.
-I-put-a-new-modulator-on-it-today.
-Some-trans-fluid-came-out-of-the-vacuum-line!
-It-still-wasn't-fixed-so-I-traced-the-vacuum-line-and-it-wasn't-hooked-up!
-Where-does-it-go.
-The-truck-has-a-factory-4bbl,-I-couldn't-see-any-obvious-places-for-it-to-go-all-the-vacuum-provisions-were-hooked-up.
-I-probably-have-some-other-vacuum-line-hooked-up-in-it's-place-like-an-idiot.
-The-metal-vacuum-line-from-the-modulator-stops-at-the-top-of-the-bellhousing-on-the-passenger-side-and-the-rubber-line-at-the-end-of-this-reaches-just-past-the-front-of-the-carb-when-pulled-tight.

goes to main vacuum, direct off the bottom of the carb not dist port, or on the manifold, might have to get a screw in nipple

 

Thanks-fordtrks4fr-I-took-off-a-vacuum-line-for-the-smog-pump-and-hooked-up-the-modulator-line-in-its-place-next-to-the-distributor-vacuum-provision-on-the-bottom-passenger-side-front-of-the-carb.
-Took-a-test-drive-and-it-shifted-great.

 

i been there, when i first put a motor in my first 79, i was wondering why it didnt shift right.
