1997 E-450 V-10 Box Truck Injectors

I have a V-10 with 100,000 miles on it and it started to run really rough. This is a fleet vehicle and gets driven daily. Gas comes from the same station as the rest of the fleet. I took the truck to the Ford dealer and they are telling me that I have rusty injectors. None of my other vehicles have rusty anything. They tested for water in the gas and there was none. Is this dealer crankin my yank or what? For what it's worth, they are saying that only six of the ten are bad. How can I only have six injectors that rust and the other four miracle themselves through?

How does the stealership know the injectors are rusty ? Did they pull them out ? Did you see them ? If the injectors are rusty wouldn't it seem to follw that the cylinder bore, the plugs and the valves would be rusty too ? I am no expert on this, but it sounds to me like someone doesn't know what the heck they're talking about, or they DO know and are hoping you don't, for higher repair bills. I'd call another Ford lot and talk to a different service guy. Ask him, without giving away where you got the rusty inj info if he's ever heard of rusty injectors. I'd bet you hear a different story.
