I have a Hypertech chip in my f250 with a 5.0 and a 5 speed
Big improvement but you have to run decent gas
I would buy it again I also have a hypertech chip in my Explorer

do you have to run premium all of the time?? ie 92 octane? Does it ping if you run 87 octane?

Thanks for your response

I personally used to have a Hypertech in my 1993 F-150 2wd, and I didn't feel that it was worth the $250 I put into it. Yes you do have to run at least 91 octane, and all the time, but you can run midgrade with octane booster, otherwise it will ping horribly.

you know thats wierd,i originaly ordered a hypertech module for my truck and they told me they did not carry them anymore and i ended up with a JET module, same price,no pinging whatsoever on 89 octane,so your comment was interesting to me

Have you noticed a difference with the JET module?? was it worth the $250 or is money better spent on a different upgrade?

the chip was one of my first mods, its improvment is mostly noticed during hard acceleration, and i tow @3500lbs.it has been better also,so i figure it was the best bang for my buck. Dave
