I have a plain jane F250 with manual transmission. I'd like to put in an instrument set to track the usual stuff such as tachometer, oil pressure, water temp, etc. Can anyone recommend a set and a source to get it? I have no idea if such options were available when the truck was new. I suppose I'd have to have sensors installed in the engine - how risky is that?
I can answer one question for you - they definitely offered a cluster with tach, water temp, charge and oil pressure in '88, and any cluster from 87-91 would work, so you should be able to find one somewhere.
