clearing codes

i had been having a problem with a 327 code. i got it fixed by replacing egr position sensor. does the code clear itself after the fix or do i have to remove the negative cable from battery for it to clear?

You have to remove the neg battery cable for about a 1/2 hour. It might run a little funny until the system re-learns it's programming though, so don't worry it'll fix itself.

The easy way to clear a code is while you are actually reading the codes.

While the 'puter is putting out it's blinks, just disconnect the diagnostic jumper, that way you do not have to reset all your radio stations or force the 'puter to relearn the running conditions.
