Holley jet reccomendations

I have a 2300 Holley (500CFM) on my 302. Stock except for new ignition. What jet size should I be running? The ones in there now were 60-somethings. The 2nd diget didnt come out too well.

Are you having problems? Too rich, too lean? There is really no set standard for jets. It's pretty much a trial and error kind of thing. If it is lean, go up 2 sizes at a time until you think it is ok, If rich(and the power valve is not blown) then drop 2 sizes at a time. I would try to clean them up to get the exact number off of them.
What is the list number of the carb? It should be on the front/right side of the chike horn.

4412. I originally thought the power valve was blown, but its not, and in fact, looks really good. I *think* shes running rich. What would a pair of jets run me? There is a bumper to bumper down the street.. would they have them?

Depends on the retailer, in my area at different retailers, I have seen them from $7.00 to $11.00 for a pair.

I assume you mean a Car-Quest. If they don't have them they could probably order them for you.

Yes they are not cheap to just tinker with. Usually it just takes a couple of shots to get it though.

If you have an organ donor carb(s), you can do it the cheap way.
I've run 350CFM 2300s on my Dodge D-50/2.6 (got rid of the evil solenoid-infested stock carb) and VW Scirocco 8-valve (used an Omni manifold and Pinto 2300 to get rid of the dying/expensive Bosch injection) with excellent results for several years.
I take the stock jet, locate a drill bit that will just slip into the jet, and then get the next size up. Hold jet in a pair of vise grips, and spin the jet between thumb and forefinger until it goes through. Slide the jet up and down a couple times and then blow out the jets to make sure there are no chips.
I drill the low speed (not the mains) first if the low end needs more fuel. Many folks screw up by only swapping main jets.
Since you have a 500CFM carb, I'd scrounge a couple 350 CFM junk cores, preferably the late type with all the emission foo on 'em since nobody loves them. Local racers grab the early ones.
Dodge Omnis, various Fords, etc have them and salvage yards almost give them away.

"got rid of the evil solenoid-infested stock carb" Love it!!
I thought about drillling out the current ones if i was running lean, but i think I am running a bit rich. What will probably happen is I will buy a set 2 sizes down, and if it gets worse, drill that set out, so if i really screw that up, i can always go back to what I am running now.
