Classic!!
"being blown away by a 72 highboy 4WD truck: PRICELESS "
That isn't too far off. Granted, the ricers that know what they are doing(or pay someone that knows what they are doing) can build hella fast cars.
However, I have blown away more than one in my '83 F250 4X4-These cars are ususally nothing more than a body kit, huge spoiler, and a "coffee can" for a muffler.

Even the integra guys (who are of the "less ricey variety...at least the 90-93 integras, couple older guys who just didn't want to burn gas had some pretty decent 400+whp cars. Mind you still front wheel drive but meh whatever floats your boat) anyway even alot of them would do the looks first because they had to be "cool" and then run out of money and end up selling the car for school before it had any power.
In the long run its better, see how they drive now? Imagine if they all had 300whp (which is more then enough in those cars...you'd need strange axles (which you can buy) just to stop them from breaking with that much hp) they'd die even quicker in those death traps!

I never understood why they tailgate me. Some get so close I can't see them over the tail gate. Whatever, on dry pavement I have enough brake to get them stopped too.
"racing" fog lights 600 bucks
chrome wipers 50 bucks
ground effects kit 800 bucks
being able to drive over curbs and pot holes in my truck PRICELESS
or
being able to fix your reciever hitch after one hits you with a hammer and black spray paint PRICELESS (of course you need a jack to lift the truck off them 60 bucks)
