I have a '67 Falcon van with a C4 that leaks a bit of tranny fluid from a couple of the side seals and pan gasket. I put 1 Quart in it after about 3 months of daily driving. I took a trip and towed a small trailer with a big ATV, when I got back I checked the level and it looked low again (I have a hard time seeing the level because the fluid is SO clean, I just replaced the front pump seal and bushing this January so all new fluid) so I added another QT. Now it looks over full, couldn't be over by more than the last quart, but could this hurt it?
