Truck starts jerking in reverse

Need help. I have a 1995 F250 4x4 and when I start going in reverse the drive train starts starts jerking causeing the whole truck to shake. Has anyone else had this problem?

Check tranny fluid?? I had an older gm tranny that used to do that when it got low on fluid.

Standard or auto?

Last fluid change; when? (If auto)

How many miles on it?

Does it ever stop, say, like when you accelerate in reverse? go down a hill in reverse? Is it worse going up an incline in reverse?
