Rookie in need of help

Hey guys, I just bought a 89' f-150 with 105k's, yeah thats rigth original km's. I want to put a 3 inch body lift and i have heard some much **** about having to do modifications to my truck. I have done it with my buddies on their dodges and chev's and they didn't do anythign to it besides putting the blocks in.

Also I want to geta small suspension lift without dropping 2000 snaps and i knwo of guys who have put add-a-leaves or whatever they are called and then desiel coil springs in the front. Let me knwo if this is just insane or can be done. thanx boyz
