Rookie in need of help

Hey guys, I just bought a 89' f-150 with 105k's, yeah thats rigth original km's. I want to put a 3 inch body lift and i have heard some much **** about having to do modifications to my truck. I have done it with my buddies on their dodges and chev's and they didn't do anythign to it besides putting the blocks in. Also I want to geta small suspension lift without dropping 2000 snaps and i knwo of guys who have put add-a-leaves or whatever they are called and then desiel coil springs in the front. Let me knwo if this is just insane or can be done. thanx boyz check ya laaaaader
