gas pedal sticking
Help me out guys. I got '89 F250 2WD with 5.8L FI engine. After starting the engine while still cold, the gas pedal sticks. After I start the engine and try to push the gas for the first time, it feels like it's glued in. After I apply some additional force it suddenly "unsticks" and gives the engine more gas than I wanted to, so the engine revs for a second or two. After that, it all goes back to normal. No more "sticking" untill next morning when I have to start it cold again. Anyone had this problem? Where should I look? Thanks!

I think what is hapening to you is common. The butterfly in the throtle body is sticking to the housing. Most likely when you shut the truck down the t body is hot and the butterfly shuts. The tbody contracts a little as it cools and causes an interfearence. Mine does it too. Usually worse durring colder months. Just tap the gas once before starting.
