I’d like to do a disc brake conversion on my 65 F 100.
I keep reading that not all 15” steel wheels will fit afterwards.
Is it possible to look at my wheel pictured to see if what I have will work? They may look beat up, but a lot of time, money, and effort
went into getting them to look this “bad”

 

IMO the lug nuts are overkill. Just nuts will fit the bill.

 

I bought the kit from Speedway Motors for my 64 with factory steel wheels. Every posting I read said they would not clear the disc brakes.

Well guess what they did. I’m not sure by looking at yours if they’ll fit, but just try it. This was about three years ago.

 

Yours have the 90* stepped inner barrel so they should clear calipers. The inner barrels that have a bell or 45* angled shape are the ones that won't clear.

 

Your truck looks great! I’m not sure where you are, but I have a 65 with a new cpp front disc brake kit on it in NC. If you’re close by, you’re welcome to come try them on my truck to check clearance. I also have a stock oem spare wheel that I can throw on there and check for you if you aren’t close by, but you would like me to. Feel free to pm me to discuss it if you’d like.
