Was there another 5-speed offered in a '95 F150 besides the Mazda?
Also, does anyone know whether there is a little "pop out" under the cab of the truck? Want to run my coax cable for my cb through there and somebody told me there was a little plug I could take out and run it through there...I appreciate any help.

LAST EDITED ON 26-Sep-01 AT 05:02 PM (EST)[p]On the 302, there is no other manual tranny other than the M5OD. I have checked with Ford, 4x4 shops, and tranny shops, and as far as i was told is to change it you would have to have a custom tranny built. Be careful with that M5OD, the shift forks/shifter plate is a very weak set up. As far as that grommet through the fire wall, the only one that i know of is straight down from the heater core (atleast on my '88). On the passenger's side, go straight up the center of the floorboard, and the grommet should be under the carpet right below the top of the carpet.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but I have a 300 inline 6. I was just wondering cause the guy who put my clutch in in the spring said it was a "the" heavy duty 5 speed with the 11" clutch. I don't have a manual so I don't know how to check. Also, I got these off the sticker on the door, what do they translate as:
Axle: 19 Springs: 4B5I Type: F142
And one more question...why does my '95 150 xlt 300 w/5 speed 4x4 have two shocks on each side in the front, and my brothers '92 150 xlt w/300 5 speed 4x4 only have one on each side??

They're very rare, but there are a few F-150's around with the ZF-5 speed. This was apparently due to what was available on the assambly line - if they didn't have a Mazda, they might of thrown a ZF in.
As for the dual front shocks, according to the 1993 brochure, they were part of a "handling package," only available with 4x4.

Actually there were a few Zf 5-speeds behind 302's in high altitude country. I've seen one. My uncle has a 92 F-150 4x4 300 with the quad shocks. That truck is a rough rider.

Where would I look, and what would I be looking for to identify which transmission I have? Or is there a simple way to find out w/out looking at the tag. If yall could let me know where the tag would be and what it would say I would appreciate it much!
