Spark plug gap??
np, I think you'll find this site is a great resource. It sure has helped me alot in working on my truck. Anything I can do to give back to this forum.
I installed a hotter ignition system and a Pertronix kit on my 390. Plug gap is at .045 and no probs. Just had smog test and passed so well, I went home and had a beer to celebrate. (New rebuild).

Spark plug gap??
hehe, I feel sorry for them, though, my dad had to pass the sniffer when he lived in Reno, NV and it passed with flying colors. Little octane boster helps, BTW.

Here in Nv we have a yearly test, although the requirements for older trucks are quite lax. As long as they dont smoke and emit too much CO they will pass. When they give you the results, you can look at the numbers and see at what end of the limits your motor is running at. If you're in the buying mode, its worth the 20 bucks to see exactly what condition the motor is in. Numbers dont lie. (Very much)
