Ignition cylinder
Couldn't be easier. First put the key in the ignition and turn forward to Run. In the sterring column, right underneath the cylinder (an inch or so from the edge), you'll see a small hole. Put something in there, I like to use a skinny allen wrench, and push it in, then pull the cylinder out.

Ignition cylinder
there are two methods of removing the cylinder from the column
depending if you have the key
Tilt column .. fixxed column.... with the key preferred method.
1 disconnect the battery
2 remove upper extension shroud (tilt column)
3 remove to trim shroud halves
4 unplug the wire connector at key warnning switch
5 with shift lever in park / turn the key to on
6 place a 1/8 in wire pin ( paper clip will work here) in the hole casting on surrounding the cylinder and depress the retaining pin while pulling out on the cylinder
7 to install turn the lock cylinder to run position and depress the retaining pin insert the cylinder into its housing / making sure it is fully seated and aligned do this before turning to the off position
this will allow the cylinder retaining pin to extend ( engage the ) casting hole
8 put the shrouds back on
9 test that the key and switch move freely and that the key removes eaisly .
10 hook the battery up and happy truckin....
sounds complicated but it really is not once you have the covers off you will see all the parts.. i did the one on my dads 87 f 150 and it is the same proceedure for my 95 f 150 and your truck falls with in the above proceedure
if you dont have the key call a lock smith there will be some replacement of parts and some lock smiths can cut a key based on vin number.. I know this for sure used to repo vehicles...
