What does the future hold?

Ok, now that we have all seen the new F-150, who thinks it has what it takes to remain the best selling vehicle on the planet?

What does the future hold?

I like the updated interior (long overdue) and it still looks like a good ford truck....I think it's got a chance to stay on top.

Previously , ford has always utilized the same body style for the f100, f150 , 250, 350. I just never cared much the f150 just replaced. The new f150 really looks like it should have looked previously all along. , sk

What does the future hold?

I was thinking about this the other day. Ford is the only company that now has their half-ton full-size truck completely seperated from the rest of it's full-size truck line. How can that continue to be profitable over the long haul? I don't forsee Ford selling 900,000 F-150s this year. I love Ford, but I just don't see it happening.

The foreign competition will cut into Chevy and Ford equally in my opinion and we know Dodge or the foreign competitors aren't going to catch Ford any time soon, so Yes, this truck will definitely keep Ford as the Sales Leader.

Fords been able to pull a good profit on the trucks since 97 when they stopped matching the 150-350's. I dont' see any reason why the can't again this year.

I believe that Ford can stay on top especially if Ford puts a 6.5ft bed on the SuperCrew

6.5' bed on the screw should be available sometime around Christmas or so I'm told.

Then I might wait until Around Christmas to get one. I would really like to have a F-150 SuperCrew with a 6.5ft bed.

Me too. Especially with a heavy springs option so a light camper could be a consideration.

What does the future hold?

I see the F150 staying on top. This new truck is far better all around than what others have. I think the Nissan Titan might be a good truck too but it won't take much from the big 3. There are still some things that ford needs to iron out but the new truck is one huge step up. Ford has managed to be the sales leader even when it hasn't had the best offerings or been the most up to date. The only thing I see hurting it's sales is the pricing. The lot I have been looking at them hasn't sold one yet, and they have had them almost 3 weeks.
