'96 Aerostar 172,000
'97 Mountaineer 198000
'02 Sport Trac 72,350
'94 Explorer, semi-retired, Odometer reads 22,000, but it's probably 222,000 - actually more like 230,000 because I changed speedos a few years back

This is awesome. Fords can go forever.

My neighbor comes by the other day. I'm charging the AC after replacing the compressor, receiver/drier and orifice tube. He asks how old is this truck? I say it will be 21 years next month. He says it looks brand new under the hood. I'm thinking "yes it does!"

This is the first car I ever bought brand new. The second and last car I bought new was a Durango in 2002. I still have it at 150,000 miles. I'm thinking the Ex will be in my family much longer than the Durango.

Miles to go

I have about 184900 on her and this bitchy beast will carry me home soon for a round trip of 1700 miles. I wont rest until I have to rebuild her from scratch. the way I am going I may need only a frame and cab. I spend more on this truck than I have on most relationships.

I just bought an '03 Explorer XLT 4x4 back in October and it had 320,2xx miles on it then. I've racked up an additional ~1300 or so since I had it. So now I've got about 321,500 on it.

Its just my second vehicle so it probably won't see as much action as my '03 Mustang GT (which I bought new and now has 166K on the clock). This truck will serve me well for the winter should things get nasty around here this year again. We had a few snowstorms last winter and the Mustang had a difficult time...it made it through, but it wasn't easy. It's also going to be a hauler and a road-tripper. The Mustang still runs strong, but as I'm getting older, it's not as comfortable for taking those long trips anymore. It's still a fun toy though.

Just got a 98 Explorer EB 5.0 with AWD that has a little over 375k on it for a project vehicle.
Likely to use as a trail rig.
Wouldn't turn over when I got it, due to a bad neg cable from the battery. Has a rough idle, that seems to be from a vacuum leak and/or disconnected EGR. Other than that, in pretty decent shape..

267,000 now on my 1993 Explorer. I just replaced the Cam sensor. It went out about 3 years ago. What a PITA that was. New plugs/wires and I have all kinds of power back... for a 6 banger.

Second Explorer we've owned...2002 Sport trac, we just bought her with 180k on the odometer. The old 96 AWD Explorer ( 5.0 ) had close to 180k when we sold her and regretted just not spending the money to fix it up....but it eventually got us into the Sport Trac which we both really like a lot, and there are things about the 4.0 I think I'll like working on more than the 5.0 ( except the timing chains whenever it comes time to take on that task ).
