I invite all truckers to the annual Run To The Rock all Ford truck show Sept 19-21. The show is held in a meadow on the western shore of Lake Lure and just under Chimney Rock, on hwy 74/64 in Rutherfordton county. This due south of Black Mountain should you look on the map. There are usually 125-150 beautiful Ford trucks there. Admission is free and the trucks are 70s and older.
It is about 4 hrs. from Durham and a shot down I-40 W to Morganton and US-64 the rest of the way. Guys that are looking for ideas for your trucks will find this a friendly atmosphere where the owners are happy to share info, and as always a few trucks for sale.
C U There

Landon, The show season is coming to a close, but a few local shows are still going on. There were several fliers being passed around at the Rock. I wasn't interested so I didn't take any.
Just keep an eye out for next year.

I took my old Galaxie up to Roxboro Saturday, and I placed in the
"Top 50". I thought that was good, considering they didn't have a
separate "original" class. My "original" was judged against some
real nice "restored" cars!!!!!!
Hi Bob, Placed in the top 50 out of a 48 entry field huh??
Just teasing, It was like being in heaven with all of those angels. A lot more 60s trucks there.
Landon, I don't know of such a site. I am part of the group NCFTO, and we have a domain name and we are building a web site, show dates can be posted there. Folks post some here, but I don't have a clue on how many readers this forum has a month. We have a yahoo site where we post photos http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/ncfordtruckowners/
You can email me at jowilker at go.com if you are interested in info about the group.
