I wondered if any of the Forum members knew what the horsepower and compression ratio was for the 360 FE engine in the 1972 to 1976 Ford Pickup?

Hi Dennis,

thanks for your response, but those were passenger car specs, and the 360 was not included on the list. Apparently, the '72 to '76 360 engine spects were not widely published, so I am still looking.

Those are gross ratings, they started using net ratings in '72. At the same time horsepower started dropping due to emissions, the compression dropped and the cam retarded. Here are some 360 net ratings for comparison:

'68 - '70 179hp @ 4000rpm
'71 172hp @ 4100rpm
'72 - '76 151hp @ 4000rpm
