2 wheel or 4 wheel ABS???
Rockledge...seems like I remember reading somewhere that the 1998 Rangers had 4WABS standard, but in 1999 they made it optional again to cut costs. Realizing later that 4WABS is a great safety feature, they made it standard equipment again in '01 or so. Anyway, that's what I think I read somewhere.

Look underneath your truck, along the driver's side frame rail, kind of behind the fuel filter....if you see something bolted to the frame that looks like this (called a "G-Switch"), then you definitely have 4WABS:

Thanks for the post. I don't see that G-switch. Behind the fuel filter I do see a place where 3 heafty plugs come together, with this plastic shield type thing. It doesn't look like a module, but more like a plastic protective piece. One of the plugs goes up into the cab.
A lot of people think that the Off roads have 4.10 gears with Limited slip, but mine has the 3.73 without Limited slip. I'm starting to think this truck doesn't have many standard options.
I guess I'll have to wait until winter to find out.
Thanks!
