OP,
Just curious if your Water In Fuel light came on. I'm wondering if Ford improved the fuel water separator on these 2017 trucks?

I moved the truck and then called my Ford dealer who dispatched a flat bed tow truck and told me to call my insurance company to start a claim. The tow truck arrived and the driver said he could not pick up my truck where it was located and I would have move it since he had a bad back and could not help push the truck back, I was expecting a regular tow truck and not a flat bed. Truck startef up fine and I ran the truck no more than 45 seconds total. DEF is heavier than diesel fuel and it wenf straight to the bottom where the pickup tube is located. I don't think there is anyway possible to take the truck out of park and unlock the steering wheel with the push button start. I tried too pull the fuel pump fuse and could not get the fuse out, I now carry a pair of needle nose pliers though I'm not planning on doing this again.

I would change insurance companies.

Thanks for responding. I am amazed that with the filters inline the def made it into the fuel pump but I seem to recall you or someone may have stated the fuel pump recirculates fuel pretty regularly...this sounds like an issue if so. Well good luck.

For the cost of the repair I think I might have just drained the tank and changed filters a couple of time and see what happens if it was on my dime. If the something in the fuel system goes bad it looks to be the same repair.

I'm assuming if the truck were run it would stop for lack of fuel not because something in the injection system seized.

Ford would not warrant the fuel system for the remainder of the standard and extended warranty if it was not repaired per the instructions of Ford for fuel contamination.

I'll be pulling that **** off before making refill. When I have to sink 12k into my motor it's because I had too much fun with it and want to rebuild it for serious hp.
