My initial thought as well, however Sandpiper says it is the same ducts and insulation as they've used for years. However, one thing I thought of with mine was the new beige color of the rigs, top and sides as opposed to the stark white we were all used to. I wonder how much more heat absorption is there in the new colors? Also, I'm glad I didn't get one with a black nose..I've already put white vent covers over the MaxxFans to keep out what heat comes through them and painted the skylight white to let the light in, but no heat.

 

I know people that have dark rvs and yes it makes a difference in heat gain.

The rig in my sig is dark....But then again, I have 3 A/C's too....
