When doing my oil cooler O-rings I noticed a series of letters & #,s on a machined pad above the oil filter oil cooler housing. Is this International, engine block manufactures #. The reason I ask is when you ask them for part they sometimes ask for a engine #. If this not the # where can I find the correct #. for my 1995 f350 powerstroke . I ordered this new in Nov. 94 & received in April 95. Thanks Guys Friskyjake

You are correct, as to the numbers above the oil filter being the serial number of the engine.
